The recent wave of straying men is alarming. In fact, the issue of having ‘clandes’ otherwise known as ‘mpango wa kando’ has come to the attention of all such that debating about them in public and anywhere else people deem fit is no longer refutable.

In the recent years, married women or those in serious relationships have crafted a spirited fight against the so-called mushroom constituency of competitors. Present in this ‘constituency of competitors’ are certain types of women commonly referred to as ‘Clandes a.k.a Mpango wa kandos’ whom in other words can still be referred to as ‘the side kick’.

So if I were to ask, what has led to the emergency of this mushroom constituency? According to the Crazy Monday, married women are to be blamed for driving their men away from their homes which in turn increases their chances of finding comfort in the hands of the ‘side kick’.

But how is that? A pastor with one of the most popular worship sanctuaries in town opines,

“You see, it’s a battle out there for most men in their endeavors to provide for their families. So when they come home, this is the place he looks forward to get peace and comfort”.

Based on that argument, it is agreeable that home is the last place a man wants or expects to be bothered or better yet, subjected to any sort of battle. In essence, a man wants to have relative peace and comfort at home in addition to love and all that appertains to it.

As a wife, you may still ask yourself what happens if you have something critical you need discussed or addressed urgently. Wonder no more, the pastor says;

“My dear sister, even the Holy Scripture says there is time for everything. There is time to laugh and there is time to cry, there is time to work and there is time to play. It is upon you the woman to know your man and know when he is ready to be engaged in a draining conversation”.

When looked from such a vantage point, one must understand that simply because the wife is ready to discuss certain touching issues at certain times does not necessarily mean that the man is the mood to discuss them.

As noted in a number of considerable debates, women tend to let themselves down, ignore the small things that used to spark their relationships and reach to a point where they no longer bother wearing the negligees the man bought them. Instead, they choose to wear maternity-like dresses and ‘seng’eng’e ni ng’ombe’ or ‘Safaricom’ branded T-shirts which are, in my opinion, an absolute turn-off.

What they do not seem to understand is that, by doing so, they are simply preparing fertile grounds for their men to look for love somewhere else. With these facts on the table, if he seeks comfort in the hands of another woman and happen to be lucky or rather unlucky, for that matter, to find out about the ‘mpango wa kando’, blame no one but yourself woman.
